Bishop Franklin, sees his wife family and children as his first ministry. He is just as dedicated and loyal to his family as he is to the gospel. It is with the support of Bishop Franklin’s Sr. wife Joy Monique Franklin and their children that he has been able to accomplish so many milestones in his life. Bishop Anthony Franklin Sr., is a gifted and dynamic tailor-made preacher for the Good News of Jesus Christ. Bishop Franklin Sr. is known for preaching the gospel verse by verse in his unique and authentic way and applying scriptures to one’s life. The road to pastoral ship for Bishop Franklin Sr. was through his family prior to his calling. A native of Wichita Kansas and currently residing in Chester with his dedicated wife and beautiful blended family. Bishop Franklin Sr., pastors continually providing love, compassion, leadership and truthful doctrine to the ministry. Bishop Franklin Sr. does what God has called him to do which is live the gospel so he may be able to preach and teach the gospel in its true spiritual meaning. While working hard to obtain his professional goals Bishop Franklin Sr. had a Damascus like encounter with Christ while under the tutelage of Bishop Melvin Williams Jr. (Temple of Juda). This encounter changed the trajectory of Bishop Franklin’s Sr., life. It was at this point all desires of promotions within the Richmond Police Department ceased and the answering of his calling began. After attending Evans-Smith Leadership Institute of Virginia Union University, Bishop Franklin Sr. sold his rental property and used all the proceeds to birth the church then called the church The church has grown and is constantly increasing weekly since its conception from just a few members to having seventy five to a hundred parishioners weekly. Bishop Franklin Sr. has used his leadership skills as a supervising police officer and his willingness to learn, from powerful spiritual beings, such as Pastor Michelle Claiborne, and Bishop Hezekiah Walker to get him to this level in kingdom building. Bishop Franklin Sr. has been able to adjust and adapt during COVID- 19 allowing the church to preach the gospel and even grow by adding new members. With several thousand views on Facebook of his sermons and bible studies Bishop Franklin has expanded the spiritual reach of the church. Bishop Franklin Sr. desires to increase his spiritual footprint through his members and non- members nationally and internationally.

Pastor Joy has worked behind the scenes and led multiple ministries ensuring that the gospel is heard not just through prayers but through the works and the light within all. Born of the Late Mervin Mayo Sr. and Erginee Mayo. My older brother name is Linwood. I have a younger brother, Jermaine, and a younger sister, Meokie. I have one son, Mervin D Mayo lll and 2 beautiful daughters, Milan Mayo and Nyla Mitchell.
I began playing the piano and singing at the age of 13 at 4thBaptist Church and singing periodically at my mother’s Church, New Kingdom Christian Ministries, but never actually joined. I met my wife, Mechelle Cheniece Mayo, while I was regularly attending NKCM. Mechelle and I were married in less than a year because she was beautiful inside and out and everything I ever wanted. I knew after the 1st date that she was going to be my wife. She also ate my cooking without any seasonings her first time over.
Eventually, we started attending Emmanuel Worship Center which was closer to my home, There, I took on the roll as a musician, playing for the Men’s Chorus and Children’s choir. It was at this Church that I wanted to get a proper baptism, fully knowing what it represented. My son and I were both baptized on the same day. I was at EWC for about 3 years when God finally spoke to me in a dream and He told me to tell people of His goodness by preaching and not just singing. I dismissed this dream for several years because that's not what I wanted to do. I WANTED TO SING!!!. I continued to hear and ignore this voice periodically for years. Eventually I ran into Pastor Anthony Franklin at work, whom I really didn't know, and He asked me to help the music ministry out for a little bit until He finds a piano player. I agreed to help, but I explained to Him that I wasn’t interested in a permanent position. Well, I agreed to help the ministry but I didn’t show up the first day, in hopes that He would reconsider His offer. I was running from commitment again. Pastor called me on that Sunday and asked if I was coming, of course I said "Oh I thought I was starting next Sunday" Pastor Franklin said "Well I guess Ill see you next Sunday than!!" long story short, I played for a little over a year at TRP, now Truth Ministries, before that voice came to me in a dream telling me to preach Gods Word. I began to speak to God and be obedient. That following, Sunday Pastor Franklin asked for those that have been called to be elevated in ministry to stand up. As bad as I wanted to stay seated, I had already told God Yes and I wanted to be obedient. "Yes" I am Minister Mervin Doronn Mayo Jr. Since my elevation, I have grown so much closer to God. I have been called to preach at numerous funerals and church services. My work in this Ministry is just beginning, and I look forward to Teaching and Preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

When I get weary I lean on this scripture, John 3:16 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
